3.5 hours of flying. Wind was a lot weaker than forecast and a bit crossed.

Hill was in the mist until 11.00am.

Nice to see Scott going well with his caldera.

Hi stu. No no comp due to lack of entries.

We had the plague of boils that I mentioned last month. 4 pilots down with flu.

I'm very undecided about tomorrow.

Wind direction at ENE and 7m/s could be good but slope is fickle and any shift towards more E could result in it being very poor.

If East we could move slope to Ashes RH side but this gets fussy as wind strength increases as surrounding hills create problems.

7m/s is probably the max for this part of the slope.

Sky is forecast as cloudy and grey with slight chance of snow.

Adding and stiring that lot together means we could fail on Pilot numbers, wind direction, wind speed or clag.

But we could succed if the wind stays ENE the snow holds off and the pilots turn up...

So please confirm your thoughts / intentions

- For now I will call it ON but if I don't get 7 confirmed attendees by 6.00pm I will call it Off.

Mike, what is the prospect you will want to select Ashlet slope?

My game feet (bunions) are not keen on the long hike loaded up with kit.

At least neither XC or BBC is now predicting rain though XC says 0.1mm

Hi jerry

it won't be on Ashlett overlooking the town. But is likely to be on the slightly near edge on the way to Ashlett.

Reasonably easy 10 -15 minute walk
