100% Mark, if it's blowing 20m\s and clear skys everyone is going to want to be racing not  sport flying :)

Agreed. Especially with 23 pilots - that's a higher entry list than any of this year's league events. It's going to be a lot of flights to get a good number of rounds in.

Martin, he's flown a bit of powered stuff and my Typhoon, his knees are now knocking and probably not gonna fly, he's coming for the abuse, cake and tea, oh and a bit of lawn darting

Hi Simon,

Ok if he hasn't done much flying full stop, I don't think it would at this stage be a good idea for him to fly, especially if we have strong conditions.  Be good for him to come along and see if he likes what he see's.

Hi All,

Based on the current forecasts tomorrow is  ON, we will meet at the Wrecker Car Park at 9 am.

I will post a map with a marker for anyone that isn't sure where the car park is later today.

Thanks

Martin

Just been up to the back of the Wrecker. It's blowing all right, but I couldn't fly for the clag. See you all in the morning.

Sorry to her you all had a wasted trip today.

Low cloud is always unpredictable.

Shame that because it was giving good winds.

Maybe 2016 will end up being a better flying year because the last three months of this one has been crap.

Not a total waste Les,

Stefan maidend his Dropps, looked to be very quick in the slightly crossed but good conditions, most of us had a sport fly, it just wasn't clag free enough to hold the comp.

Simon P took some video, hopefully he'll add the link to this thread.

Thanks everyone for making the trip to Wales, conditions looked ideal for today's Woolybacks. Unfortunately the Welsh CLAG put a stop to any competition flying.  Hope those that had a fly enjoyed themselves.

Fingers crossed we get better luck at the next Winter league events up and down the country.

Happy new year to you all for 2016 hope you all have a great year.

Well in a masochistic sense, I thoroughly enjoyed my day out - sure, it was claggy and we didn't race but it was good to catch-up with some old friends and consider the prospects of the 2016 season. Much fun to be had flying heavy models in a Crest cross-wind and fraternising with low cloud too...

Hopefully we'll be devoid of SE winds for some time to come to allow our ligaments to repair!

Happy New Year to all.

Greg
