We have done five rounds now.  We have Alan Jack, Mick Lester and Ken Faux in F1C. - all dropped.

John Cooper in F1A dropped.  Also here Brian Lavis F1H, Paul Chapman F1J, Bill Simms and Mike Fantham, both ex F1A and not flying.  We flew five rounds (required to make it a counting World Cup event).  Nice to start but wind increased to 15 mph plus - maxes were 4, 3, 3, 3, 2.

Fly-offs in the morning.

For CHE, Reg sends his regards - see picture below...

Two made the F1J/P fly-off, Ken Faux and a Junior.  Both made 5 mins in FO 1.  Ken made 7, Hayden Ashworth had model trouble and RDT'd the first attempt as it came down vertically.  His second attempt was the same, so he got a low score and second place.

Balasiano and Blake Jensen made 7 in H and must fly again.

In G, four tried and two made 5:00 after working their way into lift after a poor start.

Just watched Blake riding back with his Model and Aviv DTing down in the distance so I guess Aviv won with a 9:00.

Hayden Ashworth was 2nd in F1J/P.  Here the model's fly-off problems are being investigated by a committee of experts.  They solved the problem (too late) but he had a successful test flight and is ready for his next contest.

Ken's winning seven minute max was deep into one of the orchards but it selected a perfect landing spot between the trees which are well spaced.

Robert Lesko won the North America Cup F1A with a refreshingly different model - all self made.  Flapped wing made 127 metres on Wednesday in practice (lift assisted?). Only got 90 this morning in the 10minute fly-off but won with 6:44.  Top few were very close in duration.

I had to look twice at the F1B wing. And then look again and it still doesn't make sense. Trying to understand the reasoning of the controlled sag between the wing ribs.

Very unusual
