BMFA F3F League 3 and Reserve Date 25th & 26th June HOH,

Recommended Posts

Martin_N

Hi All,

To confirm registration is now OPEN for BMFA F3F League 3 and the reserve date to be held over the weekend of the 25th and 26th June at the Hole Of Horcum. They are 2 completely separate competitions and you can enter both or just one of the contests. Entry will close on Wednesday 22nd June at 10pm.

We will still have a weather call for each competition, this is NOT a 2 day comp and pilots will not necessarily be entering both competitions.

Saturday call will be made on Thursday evening and Sunday's call will be made on Friday evening as usual.

Additional info can be found on BARCS: https://www.barcs.co.uk/forums/topic/6207-bmfa-f3f-league-3-and-reserve-date-25th-26th-june/

And entry is via the GBSRA website: http://www.gbsra.co.uk/competition-entries

Apologies for delay in getting the info, but work take priority.

Thanks

Martin

I'd love to go but I'm working every meet apart from the Nationals...

Summer is silly season at work, overtime is virtually compulsory :(

Hello Martin,

Do you know what the latest time an entrant could arrive on the Sunday and still make the begining of the comp?

I would like to make the Sunday but have a engagement on the Saturday night which means a late night! My flying can be shady at the best of times, without the help of only two hours sleep!

Cheers Ewan

Ewan, we normally meet between 8:30 and 9 and try to get started by around 10ish depending on which slope we are using.  If you decide travel down please be careful.

Thanks Martin.

Not sure I'll make it to be honest. But I'll not make my decision until the middle of the week.

Having another Scottish comp canceled due to weather is making me itching to get out again!

Cheers Ewan

I'm with you Mike! Its been too long for me since the last flying weekend.

Is it OK to talk about the forecast yet?

Its starting to look up anyway, North Saturday, West Sunday both flyable. Fingers crossed...

It's all under his beard anyway, so who cares?

Mark and I will be there. I'll be flying and Mark will help out in the centre. The operation to fix his eye socket will not now be done before 15th July, and until it is done he can't drive or fly.

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for B&B in Whitby?

I stayed in a B and B in Thornton le Dale. Was really cheap run by an old lady and she did massive brekkies each morning. Took about twenty mins to drive to horcum. Whitby can be pants for parking.

May be pants for parking, but get the right place and you can walk to the pub and drink yourself silly!

We're OK now, thanks guys.
