As I had a very disappointing round last time, took the Strike out for lunch today, determined to make the most of this ok day!

Plenty of lift about & a bit lumpy

Managed a 3:37 until the sole of my Sandel fell off :/

Very hard to launch with a floppy Sandel so that was that!

Phil Carter Strike 2 5/8/16  3:37

Had a bit of a session this afternoon, it had calmed down quite a bit (rough and lifty earlier on) and I was chucking the Vela about for fun. There had been one or too monsters going through during the afternoon with accompanying wide column of seagulls at a great height. At about 6pm I managed to get in at the beginning of one of these - real 'kick in the pants' lift, the gulls coming in later. Unfortunately after a minute or so I realised I'd messed up my timer and so from that point on the time was a Pip pipping 3.43. Sorry Phil B|

Out yesterday afternoon at the local field. Not bad conditions but quite lumpy below 50M.

My launch just about gets to 40M and flights were either very short <45 sec. in serious sink or about 1.5 to 2 mins. However, had to walk across to the car outside the field and on the way back to the usual launch area, halfheartedly launched to about 20m to save carrying the Bonus... Picked up a thermal at about 10M and away we went.

Managed 8:45 and got to a max height of 122M.

Just goes to show launch height isn't everything! (for me luck is the dominant force).

Have you have posted in the wrong list?
I thought Bonus was a full size F3K, in which case it should really go in the
10th F3K 14 Day Duration Challenge, which is where I have just put your time and comment.

You're right Tony. Thanks for the correction. I should have clocked the title accurately when I was scanning through the activity tab. The interesting point was about launch height not being the the top priority (but it sure helps).
