Forgot to take the elf to work today, perfect conditions this morning :/

The wind seemed to have dropped at 17:30 but it was still quite blustery with small bubbles of lift but hard to stay in them.

Its a start

After a cool & cloudy start, the sun finally came out around midday.

Lots of lift, launched high & got brought down in sink to find lift at about 20-30 ft

First time I've caught a thermal that low :)

I managed a personal best of 2:50 with the elf earlier this week. I still have no idea how to catch a thermal - its pure luck at the moment. But as they say, the more I practice, the luckier I get!

I second that Tony

Nice one Pete! still learning myself trying catch those thermals!

I'm finding that at lower levels, to keep the turns quite tight till you get some height. Not sure if it's the best but seems to work on.

Keep it up, great to have another contender :)

Not sure if it's the new round yet?

Heavy rain forecasted for this PM but saw a break & had a fling with the Elf around 5pm

Very interesting conditions, no wind, some whiffs of lift & a cracking looking sky!

It was a session of making every second count & every extra second brought a smile to my face!

Finally got a best of 1:24

Phil Carter 1/10/16 Elf 1:24
