Hello dear F5J pilot, the Petirrojo RC modelling club invites you to join out 7th edition for F5J Masters (http://www.f5jmasters.com). This year we made a big change in order to offer a more international contest. We will be flying F5J using FAI rules and we expect to make more than 10 qualifying flights and 3 flyoffs. This edition is part of the Eurocontest F5J calendar in Spain.

The location is fantastic (Escalona del Prado, Spain), the field is 2kms long and 400m wide with no obstacles. It was used as a flying field during the Spanish Civil War. We offer camp for home motors and camping and a very nice weather in June (25-30º).

At the same time we offer a fantastic venue for the pilots and their partners: Segovia.
Segovia is 35kms from the field and offer some of the best places to visit in Spain. Segovia has been awarded by UNESCO as one of the World Heritage Cities. The Roman aqueduct of Segovia, probably built c. A.D. 50, is remarkably well preserved. This impressive construction, with its two tiers of arches, forms part of the setting of the magnificent historic city of Segovia. Other important monuments include the Alcázar, begun around the 11th century, and the 16th-century Gothic cathedral.

I'll be there!

Also a good opportunity to pick up a Vinco if you want to save a few pennies and order direct from the manufacturer :)

Dear Pilots,

It has been a smashing success of our contest call. Today by 21:14, in just 24 hours, we have received our inscription number 45 for our F5J Masters 2017. Since the airfield would allow several additional landing spots, we believe we can increase the number of partecipants. Por this reason we kindly request you please continue signing in in the waiting list, specially those from abroad, to make clear what the demand is. Then we will adjust to a maximun to that number.

Our compromise with the pilots is to perform a lot of flights (not less than 10 clasification plus not less tha 3 fly-offs) and that becomes not that easy in an increasing number of partecipants. And we want to be very careful in this.

We want also thank to those that already have checked in for your celerity. We also kindly request as well to perform the bank transfer of 50€ as soon as possible to consolidate the total number of partecipants. Please remind that the inscription is not fully completed until this amount has been satisfied.

Dear Pilots, thank you very much for the warm wellcome that our contest is having. After the interest demonstrated by the F5J community we have stretched our detail study of the field capacity and associated logistics, and we have increased the number of competitors to 60 within comfortable limits. Pilots check in after inscription number 60 will enter a waiting list to be invited in case one pilot widraws.

The participant that drops out can obtain his inscription amount in case his/her position is covered by a pilot in the waiting list.

Today we had 12 pilots in the waiting list who have been added to the incribed pilots. That is to say we have today 57 pilots.

We keep intact our compromise to make 10 classification flights plus 3 fly-offs despite the increment of contestants.

For all this to be able to adjust to a maximun point the number of pilot, we kindly urge the pilots to make the bank transfer as soon as possible. This will allow us as well to adjust the logistics as soon as possible (parking lots, camping site, etc.). Please if you are not in condition to confirm your attendance let us know in info@f5jmasters.com

As a remainder we want to confirm that since this contest is embodied in Eurotour is absolutely mandatory all pilots hold a valid FAI license.

Best Regards
