New Feature - Embed Google Maps

Recommended Posts

Austin

A new feature is available that may be useful. The Forum now supports embedding a google map by simply pasting the Google Map URL into the editor. It doesn't support the short url so just use the full URL from the web browser or the URL from the "Share" button.

The URL will look similar to this.

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Brighton+Pier/@50.8168589,-0.138932,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4875850af723317f:0x5256b3d81576e2d5!8m2!3d50.8168555!4d-0.136738

Which embeds the map below.

Nice!

Will there be a new thread to show popular flying sites?

I've got a few spots of my own. Good to know we can share them with a map overlay now :)

Good idea, which section is best to put it in though?
