Wing pin not locating

Recommended Posts

Darren_O

It's on my new to me MPX Ash 26. Left hand wing slides in nicely, this side not so.

Is it just a case of bending it up slightly (tried a little pressure but it's quite tough) or am I missing something more technical?

Thought it best to ask rather than bodge, thanks,

Darren

Hi Darren

try the wing to the fuz without the wing joiner and see if it fits it could be a slightly bent wing joiner

Hi Darren

Looks like the locator pin has been glued into the wing root slightly askew......just twist the pin out, "ovalise" the hole in the wooden pin carrier block, put a toothpick or small piece of dowel where the pin used to be, five-minute epoxy the pin where it should be........happy bodging!

Regards

Pete

Check the wing inicidence before you do anything else! It may be thefuselage that isn't straight.

One of mine is like this.

I get round the problem by inserting the wing joiner after I've butted the wing up to the fuselage.

Seems to fly ok!!
