If anyone has a willow ll joiner that they could lend to a 1st time f3fer could you please bring it with you to the comp.

Kyle has managed to mislay his, thanks in advance.

Spent the evening turfing out the van, car and workshop. I have a horrible feeling it may of fell out my wing bag at the slope last time I was there. I’m going to set off shortly to get there early and have a good look around! Fingers crossed!

So much for the good BBC and XC forecast. It's a damp, dreary, drizzley Whitesheet. Waiting for it to clear.

Weather deteriorating, still no flying, not looking good. Useless forecasts, I'm not happy.

The radar shows you are particularly unlucky, but it may clear

Despite no flying, and considerable damp, I still claim to have had a great day. Must be the company.

Im going to offer a big THANK YOU to Stu  - weather call was good - it really did look like we were up & running for a great comp - but the rain gods were teasing us.

Sunday lunch in the Red Lion at the bottom of the lane was good - warm & dry :)

Good to meet everyone & chat - roll on next time

Phil.

Here here Phil, Stu your efforts are much appreciated mate.

It was a good day for a bit of a catch up with good friends old & new even though there was little to no flying I enjoyed my day. Roll on February’s south west winter league event 👍

Unlucky guys, at least it sounds like a good day even if there was no flying. Better luck next time.

Throughout ystdy evening & prior to leaving home early this morning, the BBC, XC & the met office, all agreed today would be a dry day.  Yeah right, we had 8hrs of light drizzly rain .

We had a 'Cracking' entry of 20 pilots at Whitesheet for todays comp too. This being a mix of regular / seasoned F3f pilots to complete newcomers, exactly what the Winter league's were set up for. This made the poor weather all the more frustrating & disappointing for everyone, especially so though for myself as the organiser.

I wish to thank all the pilots for their excellent support today, I very much appreciate this

Round 4 is on Sund Feb 25th, I look forward to similar strong support of this event, & a 'Cracking' comp as the reward.

   Stu,

Thanks for your post Simon. What are the chances of ever seeing such an image again . Despite the moderate 12-15 mph WSW breeze it just sat over us all day.
