Delayed start due to poor visibility, but now half way through round 4. Times between 46 to 50 are the norm and I think fastest so far is a 42.

Good luck today guys, really wish I could have been there for both days.

Yesterday was a really tough lesson in the importance of practice practice practice and set up.

Despite the times I really enjoyed the day out. Met a few more people to call friends and was treated to some amazing flying by Joel.

Well done chaps, sounds like a great weekend of racing!

A good day for Rich has seen him into a qualifying position, well done that man 👏 and a good day for Martin too. Joel a very worthy champion 👍

It can be a cruel game too though when things are variable.

Sad to say I ran out of permissions with 4 of the 6 qualifying events in Wales this year and none in the North, it just hasn't worked out for me. Its easier for me to get a eurotour result than a league one...

Mixed day for me that ended with an unwonted round win, and unusually high overall score and placing, so I am well pleased. Congratulations to Joel, Richard and Martin. Joel flew immaculately all day.

As many of you will know, Mark has the second operation on his eye scheduled for later today. I am sure you will join with me in wishing him well.

Thank you Joel & JP for CD 'ing / running the wknds comps, & to all the pilots for making it such a very enjoyable / 'Cracking' 2 days of racing .

A wknd of 2 halves for me, Saturday struggling with set up & ballast on my Needle 115 & finishing 18th, & on Sunday flying my Radical Pro achieving my best ever comp placing by being 5th, only 000.72 behind the 'Dark Lord' Mr Dakin :)

Wishing Mark the very best with his op today , I'l be thinking of you Mark

Well done Rich, Joel and Martin. And well done to Stu and John!

5th place is a cracking result Stu, that's incredible considering you are only starting to get back into it.

John, what was that conversation we were having where you said you were just not able to go fast? I think a round win kind of puts that one to bed, haha.

Congratulations everyone, sounds like a really good day and probably the better of the two. Next time I will just have to make sure I can make both days.

Well the weather finally played ball and we got two comps in. Thanks to everyone who helped out (and it was everyone ) but particularly JP, Graeme and Mark for managing the center and Pete for sorting out the paperwork and flying order.

I think you would all agree that the Numerically, Observed, Base-management, System  (NOBS for short), was a massive success, creating little confusion and rendered the buzzer supremo's job a doddle :)

Anyway I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and if you are up for more of the same please remember that the Welsh Winter League starts next month (Sat 18th Nov)

Cheers

Joel

Thanks to all the workers and  best wishes to Mark for today.

What a great weekend, not quite the weather I had been looking forward to all the week , but great none the less.

Personally I failed to get the big one that my end result needed,  but was more than happy with my flying on both days.

Flew the Shinto on Saturday and the first two rounds Sunday and the Jazz for the remaining 6 rounds.

I finished 7th both days, so no big gain from one to the other, although they do fly very differently and each has its place, they make good companion models.

Italian (opposite Wetherspoons) on Saturday night was lovely and already looking forward to going there again.

Had a little too much to drink as I found a pint that I really liked and had quite a wobble on.

Head sore on Sunday

Worked off the excess on Sunday by choosing to land on the top of the hill,

Legs sore on Monday.

Result.
