As we know, UK weather can change dramatically within a short space of time.

Contest organisers will announce, when they are in the best position to make the call.

All budding contestants need to do, is support the call that the organiser(s) make.

Thanks Guys.

Despite the forecast, 11 pilots braved the mist, drizzle and windless slopes of Levisham to stand in hope that the forecasters had got it correct. The good news is that they had,  a little late in arriving,  but flying finally got started at 1o'clock.  By the time the last round of 3:30 arrived we had managed rather sluggish 5 rounds. Unbelievably all conducted under an almost clear blue sky, what a contrast!

The conditions really suited Steve, who had his first Winter League win, well done mate, Peter chased all the way in second, and Greg looked impressive as always in third. FTD also went to Steve with a 46.90 in R1

Results were :-

1  Steve Haley  3953.68 1000
2  Peter Gunning 3736.41 945
3  Greg Dakin 3720.17 941
4  Rich Bago 3618.48 915
5  Mark Passingham 3511.04 888
6  Dave Watson 3346.78 846
7  Ewan Maxwell 3276.44 829
8  Mark Treble 3235.04 818
9  Mike McCracken 3208.73 812
10 Jon Edison 2891.77 731
11 Tony Hollings 2319.87 587

Thanks to everyone for their support, and look forward to the 2nd December for round 2

Cheers
Jon

Thanks for running the day John and Mark. It was a cracking afternoon weather wise ! Good for a nice quiet float around the sky.......

Well done to the top chaps, who as usual managed to get the best out of what was on offer.

Cheers Ewan

Ps thanks to all involved in the f3f courier service, a well traveled but safely delivered toy for me

A great day out on the moors once again! Well done to Steve on your first f3f win 👍

I can't recall ever flying that slope before but I think it was the optimum bit for the fickle conditions. A challenging day but a good day. Magpie fish & chips and the supermoon rising over Whitby was a great finish!
