Nuffin, I was mistaken, read 3.6 and thought thats what I charge to - but that was nominal not charged figure.

 nominal V say

3.3v Life,

3.6 Li-ion,

3.7 lipo.

Dont worry about the battery lets get away from that

The brass ballast supplied only adds up to 1362g  (wings and joiner)and the spec sent with the model states 4660g for 74.98 g/dm2

Looks like i'll be making some lead ones for good conditions

This model may not need more than 3362g flying weight but I like to have the choice ;)

I am assumed all up weight is a bout 2kgs as I dont have any suitable scales here (used franking machine scales for ballast weights)

In that case, you need 4661g! Tungsten would get you there.

Currently AUW is 2131gs

Wings 755g each

Fuse 621g including tail

CofG 110 with supplied nose weight (may be able to get it a little further down with some reshaping) and recommended CofG 98-104 so a little extra weight needed  :)

Managed to the the Multiplex 6RX to fit by removing casing, it's a damn close fit but it fits :)

looks like a slim fuselage.

It's a nice looking model all told.

.... but those were different £'s, Pete.

£450 in 2000 is £715 nowadays according to an online calculator I have just used so you are quite right to say they were different £'s   ;-)

Wasn't the best, but it worked, and was strong enough!

Maiden report

Conditions where VERY light and I was flying empty so it was like flying with a lot of EXPO, very soft around the centre of the controls
But as you would expect, flew straight out of the hand, very stable and very responsive to the air.

Cant wait to get some weight in it, in a good blow
