BMFA League Reserve 1 on 8th July

Recommended Posts

mtreble

With the Whitesheet League event cancelled, we now have the reserve date on 8th July to try again.

Unfortunately Whitesheet are unable to host this event, so this event will be hosted on the slopes around Eastbourne.

Entry will open on 27th June at 10pm

With the forecasts continuing to show the wind to be coming from an NE -E -SE direction, its worked out well that the venue is Eastbourne rather than Whitesheet.

I see we have a good entry of 21 pilots 👍

Windy earlier on the sea front.

Was on the bike. What slows might work later?

Hello People

i am calling the comp off

after a long look at several forecasts only one is giving wind that would be suitable, plus the slope we would have to  use needs a good steady breeze to work well

there will wind to fly but just not enough for a comp is my thinking, real shame with the entry 's have

so saddly I have to say off

With your local knowledge i'm certain you will have made the right call JP, real shame but nothing more you can do.

My thanks to Mark & JP for your organizing, much appreciated.

True, but I would rather be flying. It was the right call though, the wind strength just isn't there and it's due to swing a bit during the day.

Thanks to the organisers though for at least trying to get a reserve date in the calendar.

Eastbourne lost in the heat haze. There was wind across the front. Happy to be out on the bike though,   Been up by Beachy head and Butts lane, and the long man. Nice countryside. Liz picked me up at Alfriston so I could get back easily to watch the match.

And we won. Flipping eck
