I know there trying hard but jezzzz   its not rocket science to point a camera away from the sun    and be able to see something other than the odd plane above the grass

Everything is more difficult than rocket science if you haven’t a clue about what you are trying to achieve.

I don,t think that they can see what they are broadcasting Andy ????

They have several Android phones and a van full of monitoring screens, so I’d be surprised if they can’t.  I think that they are so dazzled by the technology that they’ve lost sight of the final product. The medium is drowning out the message.

I wasn’t slagging off the technical guys. It’s the event managers that haven't managed the livestream well. The comp itself is running very smoothly, and at a leisurely pace at the moment.

Just had a test flight on the Turbulator. Seems to be working well despite a 44.5 degree angle between slope and wind. It’s off to the left. I don’t think the livestream camera has been set up yet.

Wind too crossed comp suspended. Fernando deserves to be very angry.

Terrible for Fernando and the organisers, if the result was due to their call.

Is the model recovered?

Well, I wasn’t looking at the wind direction indicator before either flight, but Carlos (pilot 0) managed an OK 56, before Fernando went into the drink shortly after turning along the slope. Suspension of comp was almost instant .

Model suffered some tip damage.

Reminds me of John McCurdy in 2006 at Rugen. Someone swam out to retrieve it. At least his picture made the local paper.

He was then seen having a shower with his Aris.

David.
