Good read Clayt.  You seem to have found your touch and settings that suit you.  Well done after a tough few years!

Thanks mate! I found competing with the Willow2 in 2015 taught me a massive amount about maintaining energy. It has paid off massively now that I have a quick plane or two 😊

Stefan B helped me clear my head about the settings before the Welsh Winter League comp.

Nice report Skip.

Strictly speaking I think that was my second F3f event if you count the one about 3 years ago at Whitesheet in a very light southwesterly.

This one was much more fun!

Hi All,

The next (5th) round is on Sunday 24 th feb, we have a reserve date in the calendar too on Sunday 10 March. If the comp on the 24th is successfully staged, I intend to still run the reserve on the 10th. This will then give us a chance of staging 3 comps in total.

If the events are on Stu I will be there to spend most of the time watching my Pitbull out of control in the turns.

Hi Stu,

I will keep an eye on the forecast. It looks very light wind speeds at the moment. If it changes I will put an entry in.

Venue Advisory ;-  Eastbourne

The various forecasts are predicting the wind to be coming from a SSE - E direction from friday right through until the middle of next week, the venue advisory is therefore Eastbourne.  We will be guests of the  East Sussex Soaring Association ( ESSA)  http://www.eastsussexsa.co.uk/

With only light winds being forecast for sundays comp & high risk of Sea fog,  after discussing the various forecasts with the East Sussex Soaring Association chairman JP we have between us decided to call this competition OFF.

We have one date remaining, this being the reserve date of Sunday March 10th.

Hi Martin,

On Monday 25th Feb, all Whitesheet RFC members will have received an email from myself, sent on behalf of the Committee. This to notify all our members that the incorrect date of the first scale day was advertised on the Whitesheet RFC 2019 calender of events , the correct date being  Sund March 17th.

This date correction was  duly posted on the front page of the  Whitesheet RFC website.  Chris Williams duly amended the date on the SSUK Forum too.
