isoaritfirst 1,330 Posted November 12, 2018 Does anyone have a McCurdy style spread sheet that will cover more than 10 rounds, and work on a 64 bit computer. There are versions on Mikeshellins page and NYMSC but neither will work on my computer.

isoaritfirst 1,330 Posted November 12, 2018 Thanks Andy, thats the one I used, but would prefer the more normal layout of the McCurdy style
rc-soar 343 Posted November 12, 2018 Mike, Both Simon Hall's and McCurdy's sheets should work on a 64 bit PC, maybe it's an Excel version issue (both run fine on Excel 2010). Not sure which one Andy has sent you, but the Simon Hall spreadsheet supports 20 rounds and is well tried. Latest version is 1.01.

isoaritfirst 1,330 Posted November 12, 2018 a quick look on google reveals that I should install a 32bit version of office on a 64 bit machine, as this is generally more compatible with others.
rc-soar 343 Posted November 12, 2018 Yes, running under 32-bit Office should solve the issue. Unfortunately making Simon's sheet compatible with 64-bit Office is non-trivial. Microsoft offer a free migration tool, but it's still a bit of work identifying the bits of code to change. And before releasing it, we'd need to test out the serial comms from a 64-bit version of Excel. Suggest we leave as is for now.
