He told me he had no intention of buying it and in someway we are better off, being away from the houses and nursery .

Hi Brian

I wonder what the new purchaser is going to do with the site

In London we just assume it's going to be a block of flats that no-one can afford, that's going to stand empty for a year or so as a tax loss,  until a new developer can find some other use for it!:(

Time to start the perusal of building applications there I think!

I do not think that a block of flats is likely to be built their, Pete, but as the price paid was well in excess of £1 million, some (alterations) will take place.

When we first flew their some 18 years ago, there was an old bungalow, down the road that mysteriously got burnt down, which led to a very large house being built in its place. As some of the site has quite a few old buildings on it in the form of barns and outbuildings which would classify as a brown field site, plus the view over the valley to RHS Hyde Hall, this could be a possible outcome.

Be interesting to see if my predictions come true.
