Narrow glider Motor Suggestions Please

Recommended Posts

Mikey69

Hi All,

I'm looking for a small motor to fit in a narrow fuselage.  The can needs to be 25mm diameter or less. Ideally i want to run a 3-4s lipo setup. It's for a carbon 1.8m V tail E glider, which would ideally have a decent turn of speed/power. I've been looking around online, but no joy thus far. if anyone can suggest suitable motors i'd be most grateful,

Thanks in advance, Mike 🙂

Most of the Schambeck Powerline range are 22 mm in diameter.

I have three, a 1015 and two 1025s. The 1025 will launch a four metre 1.8kg glider to 200 metres in 30 seconds on 3s.

Two suppliers in England, eSoaring gadgets or Hyperflight.

Hi Gary (fellow Viator pilot!).

Try Neil Jones at Flightech. He sells the HET motors coupled to Reisenauer  22mm gearboxes.

Absolutely bullet proof at reasonable prices.

Tenshock viper motor coupled to Reusenauer gearbox is a maximum of  22mm in diameter and you can get 450+ watts out of it if you want

Regards

Neil

Hi Mike, I have   Leopard LC250-5500KV outrunner going spare... 25mm, with 22mm Reisenhauer 5:1 gearbox.

Had 5 mins max running time.

Yours for £80...
