1800 has passed.

With the forecasts as they are and especially with only 7 semi-keen entries (making it a non-league event) I have decided to cancel.

Next event is the Nationals on Sunday 25th August - enter via the BMFA website.

Can we just say the weekend starts on Monday!   After last year figured the weather would be kinder to us.  Was really looking forward to this weekend .....

Can’t make the next one as clashes with pinball.  Fingers crossed September is better!

thanks for your efforts Mike.

The XC weather forecast has updated and has increased wind speeds.

Just saw the same thing. Hopefully that made your decision less stressful...

Cancellation acknowledged.

I can’t make the next one either so see you in September.

I had been hovering on a late entry, nursing an eye injury and a broken model, hoping the weather forecast might improve, thanks for organising this guys, shame the weather spoilt it. Hope to see you all in a couple of weeks.

All are aware - thanks.

Thanks too to TonyB for standing by to score, Andy S for updating the BMFA pages, Manny W for Buckminster arrangements and Richard P (volunteer) on the 'phone at the National Centre.  The BMFA staffers willingly worked in their own time to make things happen.

Just a thought - wondering if F3K has paid the weather god's their annual subscription fees, as we seem to have been blacklisted!

If you want to know what the weather is doing now at the centre is go to the tab "visitor info" go to "current weather" and the weather station on site will give you the info. I always use it just before I set off and compare it to my normal source just as a double check. Currently 0 gusting to 14mph at 16.20hrs.
