Hi guys

I've had enough responses to suggest we won't have enough people to run the comp even if the weather does plays ball, so I'm going to call the comp OFF.  Lets save our energy for the Wooly B :)

Sorry

Come to Scotland!

We have a great forecast for Bishop hill and only 3 entries 🙁

Going to go and fly anyway and try out these Picam trackers...

Hi guys

If its ok with you I'm going to delay making the call until tomorrow morning.  As you can probably see the weather is due to be lovely on Sunday however what is coming with the high pressure is very little wind, that swings through 180 degrees during the day. As it stands I'm sure you would be able to sports fly down there however running a comp would be difficult.  I'm therefore going to make the call tomorrow to give me every opportunity of getting it right.

To be honest, if it was just that I'd be tempted to call it on.  Its the fact that currently its due to swing from N to NW to W and then to SW in the space of 6 hours :(

Tough Call Joel!

Mountain forecasts 10-15mph but not sure at what height - http://www.mwis.org.uk/english-welsh-forecast.asp?fa=BB&d=2020-01-19

Other mountain forecast is the same, its at what point it builds that will be the issue.

MAXIMUM WIND SPEED EXPECTED

Light and variable for much of the day, becoming west or southwesterly 10mph later

Hi guys

I'm sure you have seen this coming, but I'm going to call the comp OFF.  The weather forecast hasn't changed this morning with most predicting 3 - 5 mph which you can normally double up on the hill.  The issue is the direction. At 9 its NE at 10 N at 12 its NW and 2 W. Like I said before,  I'm sure we could get some sports flying in however to run a comp would be almost impossible.

Sorry
