My thanks to Nigel for taking the entries on BARCS & keeping everyone informed about the comp 👍

My thanks too to Pete, JP & Graeme, who'm along with Nigel will I know ensure the day runs very smoothly & a very enjoyable day is had by all 👍.

Yep, a big day for me tomorrow,  I will be undergoing the first of two spinal & neuro surgery operations on the two prolapsed discs in my neck. Scary stuff but I've exhausted all other procedures & operations to try & alleviate severe chronic pain.

Wishing everyone a very enjoyable comp .

I’ll be thinking of you, too, Stuart. Hope all goes well, and you can get back to doing the things you love.

Errr… Gents

Currently, in the Mere/Whitesheet area, the Met Office forecast for Sunday is overcast with a 15mph SOUTHERLY wind.

Thanks all for your entries.   We currently have 10 for White Sheet, 6 for Eastbourne.

The forecast for Sunday has been disppointingly dodgy all week, but we will consider offline on Friday evening  then post  a weather call.

Potentially the wind could be slightly off White Sheet, but to consider Eastbourne we will need 2 more entries by Friday.

Hi Nigel,

Looks like Southerly for both Eastbourne and Whitesheet.

I would imagine the Southerly bowl at Whitesheet is not available to us.

Where will you fly at Eastbourne in a Southerly please?

All,

I've just spoken to Stu and his procedure has been a success , hes still under pain relief for the operation but says that is more painfull than his neck and shoulder are , that in itself is an improvement.Hes now got 6 months of trials/reporting on his pain levels to fully access the effectiveness  of the unit hes had implanted .

He wishes you all well and thank you for all your best wishes .

There is no Southerly or SSW slope at Meon Valley sadly. You can fly SW there and we have had F3F events using the SW face including Slopeglide.

Forecast is drier for Eastbourne than Whitesheet on Sunday. Currently.

If it is flyable at Whitesheet then I am in please. If it is Longman then I will pass. Sorry.

Greg

Update - 13 entries for White Sheet but forecast needs to go more SW and less rain.

Eastbourne direction and weather may be ok for Long Man SW slope at present, but still not enough entries.  Total is still 6 (one extra added but one clarified as not).  If anyone from Somerset area wishes to enter I'm happy to drive.

Final update tomorrow evening before 9pm.
