Hi Everyone,

After consulting with experienced local pilots, regrettably the direction is not quite on for White Sheet, and both numbers and direction are too marginal for the Long Man SW slope.  Therefore the comp is OFF.

Next date is December 22nd, so get your Xmas shopping done early.

'Venue Advisory ;-  I will be closely following the various forecasts & will post a 'venue advisory' on Thursd 19 th at around 9.00pm.

This competition is Cancelled . 

  With just a few days to go & much preparation for Xmas still to be done by all this years winter lg team,  despite our best efforts I am cancelling this Competition. 

Very many thanks to Graeme, Nigel, JP & Pete for your help in trying to stage this comp, this is very much appreciated.

 

Rd 4 of the SWL is scheduled for Jan 26th

To enable the safe & successful staging of F3f competitions at Whitesheet, the Whitesheet slopes will be closed to all flying other than for that of the competition while F3f competitions are in progress.

Competitions run from 9.00am- 5.00pm (approx finish time).

 Weather Call postponement ;- Delayed until 9.00 - 9.30 am Saturday 25th 

                                                                     The various forecasts for Sundays competition continuing to remain unclear. We have a very nice SW being forecast, however showers or longer periods of rain are possible.  After chatting with 'my SWL team'  of Graeme, JP & Nige,  having already lost 3 competitions & the SWL yet to get underway, so as to give us the best chance of making an accurate weather call & staging the comp I am delaying the weather call until around 9.00 -930 tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

Weather call ;-    Competition cancelled .

Sadly the various forecasts have taken a distinct turn for the worse. Persistent rain now being forecast throughout most of the day, this being heavy for much of the time.

This is such a shame as with 16 confirmed entries these being a mixture of regular, newish & new pilots to F3f, we had the perfect mix for a winter league comp.

SWL date reminder for you, we are well overdue better luck for these.
