WING JOINERS NEEDED Closed now purchased

Got what I needed from a model steam engine company.

 

Hi All

If you've been reading my new/old model in the 2nd hand market you'll see I'm short of wing joiners as unfortunately they'd been lost.

After measuring them numerous times with my calipers, as you do, these are now my final dimensions;

The front and middle joiner are the same but there is a slight variation as the front tube is aluminium and the middle brass

Front .261" or 3 SWG or 6.64 mm

Middle .256" or 3 SWG or 6.56 mm

I think 1/4" wire might do what your thoughts or will they be to loose?

Rear .199" or 6 SWG or 4.90 mm

I've tried my local model shop this morning and no joy unfortunately. I was also hoping that I wouldn't have to bend as they may have been built taking the dihedral into consideration but they haven't so I'll need to bend them. If you haven't been following here is a pic.

Any ideas where I can get suitable wire from please?

In the past where the round joiner is to small in diameterby small amount, I have wrapped Cellotape round them to take up slack
