Servo recommendations for a Blejzyk Mefisto please

Recommended Posts

Looking for any recommendations for fuselage and wing servos for a Mefisto please. I'm on a bit of a tight-ish budget (cannot afford the top end gear but reliability of servos is a priority for me) and will be using Taranis X9D Pluse SE 2019 TX with 6 channel receiver.

Many thanks

Marc

Bluebird bms125.  Hitec hs65. Something like that. Don't need anything amazing.

You won't have flaps on a 6ch rx if it's electric.

Hi Marc

You could have a look at the below. First off, I've only put the Corona servos on to show how cheap you can go but I have never used them and there are many mixed reports on them. I've got a new foully moulded plane due at the end of the year and I am fitting it out with KST's as I find they are the best without having to pay MKS prices. A good friend has used Turnigy and although there are people who dont like them, he has never had any issues and Savox are fairly decent.

Really good

KST DS135MG                    wings    £27         Hyperflight

KST DS315MG fuzz          fuss        £25         Phoenixmp.com

Mid range

Turnigy TGY-811               wings    £16         Hobbyking

Savox SH-0255MG           fuss        £13        servoshop.co.uk

Lower end

Corona DS-239MG           wings    £8           Hobbyking

Corona CS238MG             fuzz        £6           Hobbyking

As always, just remember you get what you pay for.

HI Marc

I changed the Savox servo cause I accidentally put the wrong one on with a very low torque rating. It should be the Savox SH-0255MG with the higher torque rating.

I wouldn't use full on metal wing servos unless you are intending to beef the build up to be a slope soarer.

For flat field / mixed flying i would buy at the smaller end. Especially on the vtail.

Big Si

Have a look at Kingmax servos from Flightech

I have been using them now for a while and they are fab and not sill money and I think there is even a sale on the odd servo, they are on the most part Hv so you can use from 4.8v -8.4v so gives you a lot of choice battery wise and the service is great

One very pleased customer here anyway 🙂

KST from PMP gets my vote. They are things of beauty. Use transparent covers!

Kingmax seem to getting popular too. Not used them but tempted for next time. If Neil is using them and selling them that is a pretty good endorsement.
