Hi Guys.

I have a Pike Perfection F3J & F5J models and I am trying to program them using my Futaba 18SZ.

Has anyone done this and if yes, can you advise please.

Adrian.

Can't help with the Futaba question but please remove the prop while you are trying to programme - just in case it starts unexpectedly.

Thanks Mike. Will do. Happy New Year. A

I have been working in the attachment/download you sent me Gary.

I got a good bit of it into the TX. I will get back to it tomorrow.

? Does Futaba use a setup file system?

Not that I am aware. They used to include a step-by-step guide in their manuals, but that has disappeared for more recently introduced models.

Hi lads.

I am stepping my way through the setup.

I have not turned the model on yet.

When I get to that stage it may need some adjusting done.

Hi

Congrats on buying what I and many others consider to be one of the very best Tx's for glider use, particularly for all carbon F5J gliders and the like.

If you want to know everything about this radio this will be the best £6.00 you will ever spend. This book explains everything you need to know in a way that is easy to follow/understand. There's a step by step guide on how to set-up a F5J type glider along with many other real world "How To's".

Futaba should have employed Malcolm to write the manual for the 16SZ/18SZ as its everything the Futaba Manual(s) aren't. He also has written a manual for ther 14SG Futaba Tx as well.

It had just arrived from Samba Models.

I have ordered a Motor with Gearbox, two Servos, ESC, and Prop. They should be here soon.
