Sunday 7th October marked the end of the BARCS 2012 Soaring Leagues. This year more than any other, the weather played a huge part in the structure of the league. The lads in Scotland and particularly CD Andy Lewis had a largely disrupted programme. If it wasn't water from above, it was flooding from below as their fields were passed impassable on several occasions.
Nevertheless a full series of events were flown and congratulations to all the class winners shown in the accompanying leagues. It’s also good to see a number of new names competing and also some new cream rising to the top.
Certificates will be issued prior to the AGM and current trophy holders contacted regards redistribution of the silverware.
And the Neil Webb All-Rounder League will be published in due course.
So season 2013 begins. The Peterborough Winter series will be of interest to those in the South and East wishing to get an early start in the Open League.
Thanks to all the CD’s on behalf of BARCS for their resilience in organising some great events. We look forward to receiving details of your events for inclusion in the Soaring Calendar.
