    Help CX5. Tailplane mount

Any one got a CX5. tailplane pylon. Just putting a CX5 together for someone and the mount has gone missing.
  4. I bought the Allround 150 Plus, this should launch many different weights and wingspans, from my Xplorer to AVA, more weight more stretch..............

  6. If you don’t want to outlay too much this is a U.K. supplier that sells 6mm and 8mm OD Silicon bungee in 10 mtr lengths that should get you going https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F232032593480

  8. Just started back flying after a fair layoff last week at Wormwood Scrubs London satinet: https://www.bing.com/maps?q=wormwood+scrubs&FORM=HDRSC4 Thanks for the advice/experience with EMC Nigel. The launch system has to be 100% sound for sure. Do you mind me asking what type of model sizes you launch with and what launch package did you get? Thank you
  9. I bit the bullet and bought a complete system from EMC Vega a couple of weeks ago, it was on my doorstep less than three days later, outstanding service and great quality products. It will last for years if looked after carefully, you will not go wrong buying from them, I was pointed in theta direction by the guys on this forum.
  10. There aren't that many flying bungee as there used to be for obvious reasons. Where do you fly?

  13. Hi Mike Have entered and paid Bmfa No 076153 Thanks Paul
  14. Thanks for head's up satinet. They got some lovely kits there/pretty high end stuff. Link below if anyone else is interested. https://www.emc-vega.de/en/index
  15. Emc Vega Probably a few winches around these days due to end of f3b and f3j.
  16. Makes sense Paul, thx. Really tight works for me Peter :). Brilliant simple idea, thx m8.
  17. Hey slap, I'm using 2.2.3 also. I could just send you the full contents of my card, I also have the Amber sounds on there which are much smoother on the ears. All it's missing is the 'welcome to open tx' greeting as it annoyed me at every switch on so I deleted that file.
  18. If you are feeling really tight you can save £2.95 (+P&P?). It looks like the aerial wire is undamaged but the plastic pivot of the aerial has broken. If so you can just drill a 1mm hole in from either side of the mounting point and use two very short self tapping screws (about 3mm) to make a new pivot. Take care not to drill into the aerial wire! I did this to a Futaba F8 about 5 years ago and it is still going strong - stronger than the original plastic
  19. I know some of the multicopter community use a higher gain antenna, but I am not sure that is a good idea. With the original specification, you can be confident the signal strengths etc are inside the regulations, and you run less risk of swamping your flying mates. If I was doing mine, I would definitely go for the original equipment
  20. Funny, I was just looking at/going to post same video Paul !. Thanks for your help and advice sir! Since I will be soldering, does anyone have any suggestions for another type of antenna? Or are the standard ones ok?
  21. this is contents of my SD card. Note the sdcard.version file. Suggests your copy did not work. I'm not sure what version you were on before upgrading to latest firmware .......
  22. Good morning I will be after a bungee system for launching 2 to 3 metre gliders in the next week or so. Any advice on what I should be looking for regarding quality/where to buy etc? Thank you Marc PS I was not sure where to post my request, so apologies if this is the wrong place.

One last test....... Create a new model program with basic functions to rule out any issues with current one.
  25. Look what I found on YouTube:
  26. Looking at the advert, yes you will. It's a shame they didn't use the little plugs used on the receivers. I am in a different country to my transmitter, so I can't have a look to see how tight it is on the board. I suspect it shouldn't be too bad. Just make sure you follow ESD (Electrostatic discharge) protection rules, and don't overheat the connection.
