    Woollyback 2020

Well, the rules are to be relaxed over Christmas. What about a Woollyback? 27th?
  8. OK guys I am happy to co-ordinate the Winter league as usual and as before, I would propose to run them the 3rd weekend in the month. I do however have a problem with Sundays as I have now been dragged in to manage one of my kids' football teams. Therefore, my proposal would be to move these to a Saturday. If this causes a lot of people issues, then if someone else wants to step forward to run them on a Sunday, I am happy to step aside and attend / help out when I can. So these are the proposed Saturday dates: 17th October 21th Nov 19th Dec 16th Jan 20st Feb 20st Mar Please post below if you plan to come or if Saturday's would cause you an issue. Joel
  9. Our final BMFA League data was meant to be at the Hole of Horcum on Sunday 20th September. We still have the date booked for a competition, so in place of the league event we will be staging the Horcum Challenge Cup! This is your chance to take possession of the fine piece of timberware pictured below. As this is only a 1 day event, entry will be limited to 25 Pilots and will run with the 'usual' social distancing measures in place. I will open an entry list on the GBSRA site on Friday 4th September. Fee will be £10. Weather call will be made on evening of Friday 18th. We will not take payment through PayPal until the event has been called on.

    Avalon Build & Flight Log

As I don't really have anything else to do other than child care, I decided to tackle a build (when she's asleep). I've had this model for a couple of years. There is nothing different about it compared to other f3x models in terms of build or concept. It has a DP section and is made by Radek Munzar. I'm doing a hybrid LDS system using the frame and pushrod but having an exposed horn and clevis. 1. I'm using what i got and 2. LDS has it's cons as many of you will know. For this situation i would rather have a more serviceable model but I like the frames of LDS and the solid linkage. Price was very good on this model at the time. Layupis carbon of course. Not sure what. Probably c160 i would guess.

    Futaba 8fg for F3F?

Hi Guys, I've done a search and couldn't find any threads answering my question so..... Is there anything a Futaba 8FG can't do for an F3F glider? What settings are a PITA to get easy adjustability (ie: in flight snapflap adjustment). The week before I had my glider hiatus, I was about to buy an 8FG and didn't due to my addiction to golf (I'm cured now). I'm thinking of changing from my old, crickety futaba one for the rekindling of the glider fire. Thanks for your help. Clayt
