Kent Interclub 2023 OPEN F5J and KI Electric League Results

Note both the OPEN F5J including everyone who flew and the KI Members only individual and Team results are attached. Kent Interclub Electric League 2023 Both of the two rounds were flown the first after twice being cancelled. Electric 2 on 18 June only attracted 14 flyers which I believe was due to holidays that some take around this time. Congratulations Congratulations to the OPEN and KI Winner Richard Harris and the KI Best Team Bromley Club Individual OPEN and KI 2nd Keith Fisher and OPEN 3rd Garry Matthews, KI 3rd Peter Mitchell Team 2nd Tonbridge and 3rd Invicta Entrants were 24 (including 3 guests) down 1 from 2022 Thanks go to: · Gravesend, Invicta, SADMAC, and Tonbridge 4 clubs that generously provide the fields · The 10 membership Clubs. Ashford, Bloobirds, Bromley, Canterbury, Gravesend, Invicta, Maidstone, Medway SADMAC, and Tonbridge also the 3 guest flyers Garry, Steve and Simon · The CD's and GliderScore operators. · Clubs and individuals who provide the equipment required to run the events. · The helpers at each event that set up the equipment. Full details and entry will be on the BARCS – Aircraft - Kent Interclub Forum This is an open competition and non Kent club members are very welcome (entry fee £5). The rules are BARCS Multilaunch for Electric launch gliders. Electric Gliders must be fitted with an AMRT (height limiter) which cuts the motor at 30 secs and records the launch height. Electric launch height of 175m with a penalty of 3 pts per metre for Electric launches exceeding it. Most pilots will want to set AMRTs to cut a little below 175m. It is fine instead to use F5J.

BMFA F5J comp., Sunday 28th/Saturday 27th June - Little Bentley, Essex Directions to the field can be found here on the F3K Eurotour site, signs will be put out to help you the last 1/2 mile from the A120. Nearest postcode to the field entrance is CO7 8SN. Due to the cancellation of several soaring competitions on Sundays we have made the Saturday a reserve day, not for the Sunday but for a previously cancelled event. If the forecast for Sunday 28th June looks poor but Saturday 27th looks good we may cancel the Sunday event and go with a comp. on Saturday. Please indicate if you are able to enter on either day or just one. Sunday will always take precedence over Saturday as long as the weather is OK for the Sunday. To enter, your model must have an approved height limiting/data logging device set to allow 30 sec motor run time. The height limiting function must either be disabled or set to 300m. Motor restart is permitted at any time during flight, but it will result in a zero score for that round. Two classes of model can be entered, either Open or 2Metre. Prizes awarded on the day and points scored will go to the National League. Please note that only one class can be entered. Entry fee £10.00 (BMFA requirement) payable on the day Proof of BMFA membership (card is sufficient) required - please supply your BMFA number with your entry Timing on the day may vary, and all/any help to set up the field will be appreciated. But the plan is as usual, book in from 9am. First flight’s 10am. Please send your entries in by 8pm on Friday 26th June with your frequency and a reserve if flying on 35MHz.
