chiloschista
Hi ensemble, heading towards Fær Øer I need a little plane that fit in a suitcase and can handle islands high winds. Watching around I did not find anything satisfying, so I decided to develop one myself. Here it is, REDplank-F: Specs: Wingspan: 120cm Weight: 670g Wingload: mathematic 30g/dm², effective 40g/dm² Ric

isoaritfirst
Heavy? I always fancied running a Alu tube along the front edge of the elevons. Light and resistant to twist. Never got around to trying it though.

Wing torsion and flex are limited. Elevons are very rigid already and I took particular care to have play free controls with good servos and good linkages. Tony No, it's in South Switzerland, lago Maggiore, near Locarno. The city at bottom is Bellinzona.
chiloschista
Not bad for a light EPP plank. Data are consistent as flight speed was in general between 100 and 150km/h, often over 150 and few times around 200km/h. Of course that's ground speed and wind played its role , but anyway it's funny to fly that plane.
