This plane was never a favourite of mine, but I see that Paul Garnett flew one to victory in the F3F Champion of Champions a couple of weekends ago. I don’t really know how much work is required because, although both wings have delaminated skins in places, the spars appear to be OK. I think the only way to be sure there is no internal damage to the structure you’d need to damage the wings some more! Alternatively, the delamination could possibly be fixed by drilling little holes into the skins and adding cyano. The rear flap corners at the root are also damaged, and there are a couple of dings, which could do with filling. The fuselage has a crack at the rear of the wing seat, which could easily be made secure with thin cyano and a bandage epoxied onto it. (Despite being cracked the fuselage is straight.) Tailplanes are in good nick, and the pushrods seem to be fine. Altogether too much of a challenge for me at the moment. Priced as a fixer-upper at £50.00 without any gear; or £100 with servos left in. The servos are MKS DS6125’s in the wings, DS6100’s in the fus. Pick up from Lyme Regis, or within 50 mile radius. (Road miles, not as the crow flies.) Another option might be the F3F Underground Postal Service. I found it very difficult to take informative photos of the wing damage, which shows as deformations of the skins mainly around the flap servo wells.
