Hi, does anyone have a copy/links to the Magic 2 SL RES build log, especially the build log by Martin Oldershaw? Also any advice/recommendations on push/pull or torsion bar setup for rudder and elevator appreciated. Many thanks.

You'll be fine. Your plane just has to comply with 5.5.11.1 of the FAI regs. EG, less than 4m span. Less than 5Kg. Fitted with approved height limiter, and electrically powered. Make sure your height limiter is set correctly for F5J, and make sure you either tick Automatic Competition Reset (ACR), or disconnect batteries after each flight in order to reset it. Look forward to seeing you.

A couple of takeaways from the comp. Great to see Rob Coles again, it's been too long, let's all hope that Dave can drag along to the next one. (especially as it's his local hill!). JP flying the Wyvern, it looked a very competative model, fast and it was turning really well. For such a bargain price it was certainly an ideal model for anyone looking at having a go at f3f.

Wondering whether anyone is flying a Nan Explorer 4 or 5 at the moment and if so what you think of it? If you have or had both how do they compare? I’m currently considering an explorer of some description as my first and only competitive F5J model. Seems the 5 and 4 both have their fans and are perhaps ideally suited to different tasks and conditions, but both are also quite versatile. It would be great to hear some feedback from people flying them in UK conditions.
